Officer Fill. When the situation arises that there are no officers scheduled on duty due to sick leave call off etc., the OIC of the shift prior shall make an open page to ALL OFFICERS (Captains / Lieutenants) offering the overtime position prior to commencement of the shift. Three eight (8) hour blocks will be filled. Time will be filled by any Captain or Lieutenant calling in and accepting the opportunity based on the number of hours they currently have on record in the overtime record book. The lowest number of hours shall have first choice proceeding through highest hours until all positions are filled. If the situation arises where limited officers are available for fill, and only after all Officers have been offered an opportunity for the positions, the Officer(s) accepting the opportunity may divide the overtime as they choose to accommodate their schedules. The overtime hours will be recorded in the Overtime Record Book.
