Common use of Official University Closure Clause in Contracts

Official University Closure. 40.01 Should the President or her/his delegate declare that the University or an area of the University, be officially closed temporarily due to environmental conditions, utility disruptions, road conditions, acts of God or other similar emergencies beyond the control of the employees covered by this Agreement, employees shall receive their regular salary and benefits during the closure. (Those closures shall not be considered a University holiday as in Article 19.)
