“On Duty” – Communications. The Employer will provide and maintain, at its expense, the necessary communication device (pager, mobile phone, etc.) to those Bargaining Unit members in an “On Duty” status. In order to be in an “On Duty” status and/or while in an “On Duty” status, the employee must be in the “coverage area” of the communication device provided by the City.
