Common use of On Standby Clause in Contracts

On Standby. When a regular full-time employee on standby pay is called in to work and reports for work on a day other than his/her regularly scheduled work day, he/she shall be provided with and assigned to at least a minimum of two (2) hours work. In the event such work is not available, the employee shall be paid a minimum reporting allowance equal to two (2) hours pay at his/her regular hourly rate.

When a regular full-time employee on standby pay is called in back to work and reports for to work on a day other than following completion of his/her regularly scheduled work dayregular shift, having left the premises in the interim, he/she shall be provided with and assigned to at least a minimum of two (2) hours work. In the event such work is not available, the employee shall be paid a minimum reporting allowance amount equal to two (2) hours pay at his/her regular hourly rate.
