Operations Assistant. Step 1 The step 1 rate of pay is the start rate and is calculated at 86% of the job rate. Progression to the step 2 rate of pay shall be based on satisfactory performance, completion of 2080 regular hours paid at step 1 and the possession of the necessary knowledge, abilities, skills and training required in the performance of the job.
