Common use of Option to Continue Health Plan Coverage Clause in Contracts

Option to Continue Health Plan Coverage. Employees who are laid off may elect to continue coverage under the available health, dental and vision plans for up to eighteen (18) months in accordance with provisions of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA). This continued health coverage requires the laid-off employee to pay the premium costs directly to the carrier.
