Classroom Teacher Substitute. (1) If a classroom teacher requires a substitute, the Instructional Assistant assigned to that class may serve as the substitute teacher if the following conditions are met: (a) The Instructional Assistant must possess the required credentials; (b) Must have the credentials on file with the Human Resources Department of the Contra Costa County Office of Education; (c) Subject to prior approval of the appropriate Principal/Assistant Principal. The rate of pay for such assignment shall be the assigned Instructional Assistant’s current rate of pay plus $50.00 per day or the second step of the substitute teacher rate, whichever is higher. (2) Effective October 27, 2000, in an emergency and under the periodic supervision of an administrator or credentialed designee, Instructional Assistant employees may maintain a class in the absence of the regular teacher. The assigned Instructional Assistant shall receive their current rate of pay plus $50.00 a day. The Instructional Assistant will not have sole responsibility for maintaining the class in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Guidelines for stipend are listed below: (a) Included are employees with the classification of Instructional Assistant, Transitional Support Assistant (TSA), Itinerant (floater) and Tutors. (b) Full student attendance day or equal to the number of school hours scheduled for the class to which the employee is assigned.

Translation (Bilingual) Stipend (1) The Employer shall pay additional compensation in the amount of $5 a day to employees whose regular job description does not include translation services and who in the course of their regular job duties are asked to provide translation services to the Employer in a language other than English. (2) Such employees may provide translation services, with the prior approval of the Principal or designee requesting these services. Services include but are not limited to verbal and written translations for school to home communications and other day-to-day services approved by the Principal or designee requesting these services. (3) A time sheet shall be maintained by the employee for bilingual translation services, indicating the reason and date and the type of bilingual service provided. The completed time sheet shall be approved by the Principal.
Classroom Teacher Substitute. If no substitute teacher is available, the Board will evaluate the assignment of the principal, physical education, art, music, Reading Recovery®, special ed, and other certified staff as alternatives before assigning a classroom teacher to cover the class. It is understood the assignment will be rotated among the above stated staff. If a classroom teacher is assigned to a classroom for which no substitute is available he/she will be compensated Twenty ($20.00) Dollars for his/her loss of duty free lunch or at the teacher's option to accrue flexible time. In addition, the teacher assigned to a classroom for which no substitute is available the teacher will be compensated at the substitute teacher rate of pay in addition to their regular rate of pay. For example, a teacher will be compensated for a full day assignment at the full day substitute teacher rate of pay and for a half-day assignment at the half day substitute teacher rate of pay. If a teacher accepts a class as a substitute teacher which requires the forfeiture of the teacher's preparation period, the teacher shall be compensated Twenty ($20.00) Dollars for his/her loss of preparation period for that day or at the teacher's option to accrue flexible time. If a teacher accepts lunchroom or playground supervision duties which requires the teacher to forfeit all or part of his/her duty free lunch, the teacher shall be compensated Twenty ($20.00) Dollars.

  • Classroom Visitation To provide patrons of the District the opportunity to visit classrooms with the least interruption to the teaching process, the following guidelines are set forth: A. All visitors to a school and/or classroom shall obtain the approval of the principal, and if the visit is to a classroom, the time will be arranged after the principal or his designee has conferred with the employee, if possible. B. Whenever possible, the employee shall be afforded the opportunity to confer with the classroom visitor before and/or after the visitation. C. This provision does not apply to administrators and Board of Directors members.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "D", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • Substitute Teachers 21.01 A substitute teacher is employed by the Division either to replace a regular teacher or fulfill an assignment which is less than twenty (20) consecutive days in duration. 21.02 Upon commencement of the sixth (6th) day of substitute teaching in the same assignment, a substitute teacher shall be paid for each day taught at the per diem rate (to be calculated as 1/x of the salary to which a teacher of the same qualifications and experience would be entitled under the basic salary schedule of the current collective agreement, where x equals the number of days in the current school year). This rate of pay shall be retroactive to the first day of the teaching assignment and shall continue in effect until the end of that specific teaching assignment. Pay relating to the salary earned by substitute teachers during any month shall be forwarded to those teachers not later than the fifteenth (15th) day of the following calendar month. 21.04 Manitoba Teachers’ Society fees and Xxxxxxx Teachers’ Association fees shall be deducted from a substitute teacher’s pay. The Association shall indemnify and save harmless the Division from any and all losses, costs, liabilities or expenses suffered or sustained by the Division as a result of any claim or legal action arising from the deduction of local Association fees or Manitoba Teachers’ Society Fees. 21.05 A substitute teacher who has been employed for at least nine (9) consecutive days of substitute teaching in the same assignment in a school year shall be entitled to one (1) day of sick leave with pay for each nine (9) days taught in that assignment. Sick leave shall not accumulate from assignment to assignment. The use of sick leave with pay shall not constitute an interruption of the substitute teaching assignment. 21.06 If a substitute teacher is absent from a period of substitute teaching on account of bereavement leave granted in accordance with Board practice or policy, and that substitute teacher returns to the same substitute teaching assignment immediately following the period of bereavement, the period of leave shall not constitute an interruption of the substitute teaching assignment. 21.07 The provisions of the Collective Agreement do not apply to substitute teachers except as expressly provided for in Article 21 – Substitute Teachers: Article 1 – Obligation To Act Fairly Article 2 – Purpose

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Configuration Management The Contractor shall maintain a configuration management program, which shall provide for the administrative and functional systems necessary for configuration identification, control, status accounting and reporting, to ensure configuration identity with the UCEU and associated cables produced by the Contractor. The Contractor shall maintain a Contractor approved Configuration Management Plan that complies with ANSI/EIA-649 2011. Notwithstanding ANSI/EIA-649 2011, the Contractor’s configuration management program shall comply with the VLS Configuration Management Plans, TL130-AD-PLN-010-VLS, and shall comply with the following:

  • Loop Provisioning Involving Integrated Digital Loop Carriers 2.6.1 Where Xxxx has requested an Unbundled Loop and BellSouth uses IDLC systems to provide the local service to the End User and BellSouth has a suitable alternate facility available, BellSouth will make such alternative facilities available to Xxxx. If a suitable alternative facility is not available, then to the extent it is technically feasible, BellSouth will implement one of the following alternative arrangements for Xxxx (e.g. hairpinning): 1. Roll the circuit(s) from the IDLC to any spare copper that exists to the customer premises. 2. Roll the circuit(s) from the IDLC to an existing DLC that is not integrated. 3. If capacity exists, provide "side-door" porting through the switch. 4. If capacity exists, provide "Digital Access Cross Connect System (DACS)- door" porting (if the IDLC routes through a DACS prior to integration into the switch). 2.6.2 Arrangements 3 and 4 above require the use of a designed circuit. Therefore, non- designed Loops such as the SL1 voice grade and UCL-ND may not be ordered in these cases. 2.6.3 If no alternate facility is available, and upon request from Xxxx, and if agreed to by both Parties, BellSouth may utilize its Special Construction (SC) process to determine the additional costs required to provision facilities. Xxxx will then have the option of paying the one-time SC rates to place the Loop.
