ORIENTATION AND EDUCATION. 12.01 The Employer recognizes the need for an Employer Orientation Program of such duration as it may deem appropriate taking into consideration the needs of the Employer and the employee involved. During the orientation program the employee will shadow another employee for a variety of day and evening shifts. 12.02 Employees recalled from layoff under Article 18, and employees whose probationary period has been extended may be provided any orientation determined necessary by the Employer. A request by such an employee for orientation shall not be unreasonable denied. 12.03 Where employees are required to attend mandatory training sessions they shall be paid their regular wage for the time required to attend. 12.04 Employees may be required, as part of their regular duties, to supervise the activities of students and will be informed of their responsibilities in relation to these students.
