ORPHAN DATA. If a replacement PI is not nominated, or where the existing PI or Centre Authority does not respond to communications from the MSBase Operations Team, the Operations Team will continue to contact the Centre over a period of 12 months to attempt to re-establish a Centre PI. If no PI can be nominated over the course of this time, MSBase will ask the Centre Authority how they wish to proceed with respect to retaining the pseudonymised orphan data that are still useful and necessary in relation to the Observational Study research purposes, for which they were collected.
