Other Insurance Coverage. A. The Authority shall provide to all employees the following: 1. Short-term disability insurance coverage, at no cost to the employee, to provide, after sick leave is exhausted, sixty (60) percent of salary per month for up to one (1) year for a certified non-occupational injury or illness. Coverage shall also provide for continuation of the Authority’s share of premiums for health, dental, and life insurance benefits while the employee is on leave for Non-Occupational Disability for up to one (1) year from the effective date of disability. 2. Long-term disability insurance coverage, at no cost to the employee, to provide up to sixty (60) percent of salary per month. 3. Life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, at no cost to the employee, shall be provided at amounts based upon the employee’s annual base salary, rounded to the next closest ten thousand dollars ($10,000) and adjusted annually on each January 1, if required. a. Employees shall have the option to purchase additional life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage, including dependent coverage. 4. Dental and orthodontia insurance coverage, at no cost to the employee, for the employee and dependents. 5. Vision care insurance coverage, at no cost to the employee, for the employee and dependents. 6. The Authority shall administer a Dependent Care Assistance Program that allows employees to take advantage of a salary reduction program to pay for dependent care as permitted in the Internal Revenue Code.

Part-time employees shall have the option of purchasing dental insurance for the employee and his/her dependents by paying one-half (½) the monthly rate paid by the Authority for full-time employees, provided the employee's normal workweek consists of at least twenty (20) hours. 5. e. Vision care insurance coverage, at no cost to the employee, for the employee and dependents. 6. The Authority shall administer a Dependent Care Assistance Program that allows employees to take advantage of a salary reduction program to pay for dependent care as permitted in the Internal Revenue Code.
