Common use of Other Unions or Associations Clause in Contracts

Other Unions or Associations. The University agrees not to negotiate for the duration of this contract with any other labor organization other than the Union designated as the representative pursuant to Act 379 of the Michigan Public Acts of 1965, with respect to the employees in the unit defined in Section 1. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to prevent any individual employee from presenting a grievance and having it adjusted without intervention of the Union, if such adjustment is not inconsistent with the terms of this Agreement, provided that the Union has been given an opportunity to be present at such adjustment.
