Common use of Over-the-counter Equivalents Clause in Contracts

Over-the-counter Equivalents. The Plan does not provide Benefits for Drugs, devices, products or supplies with over the counter equivalents and any Drugs, devices, products, or supplies that are therapeutically comparable to an over the counter Drug, device, product, or supply unless specifically stated as a Covered Service in this Agreement or as required by law. This exclusion includes over the counter batteries for medically necessary devices.
