Overtime Roster. A. A rotating overtime emergency roster system shall be developed, approved and implemented by the Chief of Police subject to the written concurrence of the Township Administrator. The purpose of the emergency overtime roster system is to dispense overtime equally to all members of the Bargaining Unit.
B. Once concurrence with the Township Administrator has been secured for the proposed system, the procedures shall be incorporated into the Police Manual and as an Addendum to this contract.

Overtime Roster. Those employees who wish to be added to the overtime roster shall submit a letter to the department head requesting same. Those employees shall be added with the highest amount of overtime as indicated by the roster. The letter shall include a telephone number, or another means of contact. The City shall maintain one overtime roster per department per classification. The overtime roster shall be renewed on January 1 of each calendar year and the successive roster shall be prepared with the order of the employees from the previous roster showing the difference in hours.

Should the overtime be required in either of the Product Support teams, then it shall be offered in seniority order to employees working in that classification.
