Temporary Transfers. When an employee is assigned temporarily to perform the duties and assume the responsibilities of a higher paying classification in the bargaining unit, she shall be paid the rate in the higher salary range immediately above her current rate for all hours worked in the assignment.
Temporary Transfers. In Article 25.03 of the collective agreement, replace “for a period in excess of one-half a shift” with “in excess of 3.75 hours” for extended tours.
Temporary Transfers. An employee temporarily transferred from a lower to a higher rated job for a period in excess of one (1) hour, shall be paid the rate of the higher job plus any out-of-line differential to which he is entitled. An employee temporarily transferred from a higher to a lower rate job for the convenience of the Company and not as a result of lack of work, shall be paid his existing rate for the duration of such temporary transfer.
Temporary Transfers. 15.01 Any employee who, for the convenience of the company is temporarily transferred to another job classification in which the rate of pay is different from that in effect on such employee's regular job, shall be paid, while so employed, as follows:
a) If the rate of pay for the job classification to which he/she is transferred is less than the employee's regular pay, he/she shall receive his/her own higher rate of pay;
b) If the rate of pay for the job classification to which he/she is transferred is higher than the employee's regular pay, he/she shall receive the higher rate of pay for the job to which he/she is temporarily transferred. Notwithstanding the above, the provisions of 15.01 a) & b) do not apply to Apprentice employees who may be assigned to assist a Field Mechanic out of the shop. In such case, the Apprentice will be paid the difference, in cents per hour, between the Journeyperson rate of pay and the Field Service Level 1 rate of pay for each hour worked.
15.02 An employee who, for the convenience and benefit of the employee, is temporarily transferred to another job classification instead of being laid off due to lack of work, breakdown of machinery, or other like cause, shall be paid, while so employed as follows:
a) if the rate of pay for the job classification to which he/she is transferred is less than the employees' regular rate of pay, he/she shall receive the lower rate paid on the job to which he/she is transferred.
b) if the rate of pay for the job classification to which he/she is transferred is higher than the employee's regular pay, he/she shall receive the higher rate of pay except in job classifications where more than one level of competence is established in which case he/she will receive the first level of the job title to which he/she is assigned.
15.03 A temporary transfer made pursuant to Section 15.01 other than those made for the purpose of filling a job because of sickness, accident or a leave of absence, shall not exceed thirty (30) working days. Any extensions beyond thirty (30) days will require the consent of the parties, and such consent will not be reasonably withheld. (1) week.

Temporary Transfers. In the event any employee is assigned to a job other than that to which he/she is permanently assigned for a minimum of one (1) hour or more, he/she shall receive his/her own rate or the rate of the job to which he/she is assigned, whichever is higher, for all hours worked in the assigned position.
Temporary Transfers. The employers shall have the right to temporarily transfer employees irrespective of their seniority status from one job classification to another to cover for employees who are absent for the period of such absence. The Employer shall also have the right to temporarily transfer employees irrespective of their seniority status to fill jobs or temporary vacancies or take care of unusual conditions or situations or for training purposes, which may arise for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days unless this time is mutually extended. It is understood and agreed that any employee temporarily transferred in accordance with the provisions of this Section shall not acquire any permanent title or right to the job to which he is temporarily transferred but shall retain his classification from which he was transferred. If an employee is temporarily transferred as provided in this Section to a job classification for which the rate range is lower than the rate range for his regular job classification, his hourly rate of pay shall not be reduced. If such temporary transfer is higher than the rate range for this regular job classification, he shall, after working for one (1) full working day in the job classification, receive the minimum rate of pay applicable for the job or his present rate, whichever is higher.

Temporary Transfers. 13.1 For the purpose of this Agreement, a temporary transfer shall be a transfer of an employee out of his or her regular job classification. Temporary transfers should not exceed more than thirty (30) days, however, if more than thirty (30) days are required, they shall be extended through mutual agreement by the Company and the Union.
13.2 An employee who is temporarily transferred for the convenience of the Company to another job, shall be paid the higher of his or her own rate or the maximum rate for the job, for the full number of hours worked on the job.
Temporary Transfers. 12.01 An employee who is transferred to a different job classification within the bargaining unit shall be paid while so employed as follows:
a.) If the transfer is for the convenience of the Company and if the rate of pay in the classification to which he is transferred is less than the employee’s regular rate of pay, he shall receive his regular rate of pay.
b.) If the transfer is for the convenience of the employee, or to enable him to avoid layoff, and if the rate of pay in the classification to which he is transferred is less than the employee’s regular rate of pay, he shall receive such lesser rate.
c.) If the transfer is to a higher-rated classification the employee will receive the higher rate of pay for hours worked in the higher classification.
Temporary Transfers. The Employer reserves the right to temporarily transfer employees in order to meet its operational needs. An employee temporarily transferred for a period of more than one (1) day shall receive the minimum rate of pay for the classification to which he is transferred or the rate of pay for the classification to which he is regularly assigned, whichever is higher.
