Common use of Paid Concurrent Parental Leave Clause in Contracts

Paid Concurrent Parental Leave. (a) An Employee who is entitled to take unpaid parental leave pursuant to section 71 or section 72 of the Act and applies to take concurrent parental leave pursuant to section 72(5) of the Act is entitled to payment pursuant to this clause. (b) An Employee shall be entitled to be paid for two weeks' of the Employee's concurrent parental leave commencing on the day of birth of the child or on the day on which the mother of the child leaves hospital, or in the case of an adoption, from the date of placement of the child.
