Patient Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation. 192. All staff shall be required to report instances of patient abuse, neglect and exploitation immediately. Reports shall be made to the superintendent with a copy to the patient advocate. The superintendent shall notify the patient's guardian or designated representative and forward all reports to the Bureau of Elder and Adult Services or the Division of Child and Family Services of the Department of Human Services, as appropriate. 193. All reports shall be immediately and thoroughly investigated. Results of investigations shall be in writing and shall be made available to the patient and the patient's guardian or designated representatives.
