Common use of Pay for Overtime Clause in Contracts

Pay for Overtime. 7.03.01 Full time Employees who work in excess of the standard hours of work, as defined under Article 6.02 shall be paid overtime for that additional time at the rate of one and one half times (1.5X) their hourly rate. a) Part time and Casual Employees will be paid straight time wages until the total hours in a calendar week exceed forty (40) hours, the standard hours of work, at which point overtime will apply to excess hours, and the rate of time and one half (1.5X) will be applicable. b) Part time and Casual Employees who are scheduled for a Shift of less than eight (8) hours will be paid straight time wages until the total hours in a Shift exceed eight (8) hours, at which point overtime will apply to the excess hours, and the rate of time and one half (1.5X) will be applicable. c) Part time and Casual Employees who are scheduled for a Shift of eight (8) hours or greater will be paid straight time wages until the total hours scheduled in a Shift, at which point overtime will apply to the excess hours, and the rate of time and one half(1.5X) will be applicable.
