Pay in Advance of Vacation. Employees may, upon giving a least seven (7) days’ notice, receive any cheque which may fall due during the period of their vacation, up to seven days prior to the commencement of their vacation.

Pay in Lieu of Vacation Employees may in any federal fiscal year elect, in twelve (12) hour increments, in lieu of vacation time off, to receive compensation for up to sixty (60) hours for the year and is subject to management approval.
Calculation of Vacation Pay Vacation pay shall be at the rate effective immediately prior to the vacation period. However, should any salary increase become effective during the employee's vacation period, he/she shall receive the benefit of such increase from the effective date.
Accumulation of Vacation Vacation leave may be accumulated to any amount provided that once during each fiscal year, each supervisor's accumulation must be reduced to two hundred and seventy-five (275) hours or less. If this is not accomplished on or before the last day of the fiscal year, the amount of vacation shall automatically be reduced to two hundred seventy-five (275) hours at the end of the fiscal year. Supervisors on a Military Leave under Appendix I shall earn vacation leave as though actually employed, without regard to the maximum accumulation set forth above. Vacation earned in excess of the maximum accumulation shall be taken within two (2) years of the date the supervisor returns from the Military Leave.
Computation of Vacation Pay Where an employee's vacation pay for the current year is to be computed as a percentage of his "total wages earned" in the previous year, such "total wages earned" shall include the amount of vacation pay the employee received in the previous year.
Scheduling of Vacation A) The Employer shall permit annual vacations to be taken during the entire year.
Pay Increments 44.5.1 Except as provided in sub-clauses 44.5.4 and 44.5.5 of clause 44.5 an employee holding an appointment at one of the classification levels listed in Schedule 1 of this Agreement shall be granted pay increments on completion of the applicable pay increment period until he reaches the maximum rate in the scale of rates for the classification level to which he is appointed.
Telephone Allowance Employees on travel status who are required to obtain overnight accommodation shall be entitled to claim for one (1) fifteen (15) minute telephone call home to or within British Columbia, for the first night away and then for every three (3) consecutive nights away thereafter.
Pay Increases a) The pay rates prescribed under Clause 2 above will be increased by the amount of the increase as handed down by the Australian Fair Pay Commission each year during the term of this agreement.
Scheduling of Vacations Vacations shall be scheduled at a time mutually acceptable to the OSFM and the employee and consistent with the work requirements of the OSFM. All vacation leaves require advanced written authorization by the employee's immediate supervisor; however, management may verbally approve short notice requests, subject to submission of written leave request form upon return.
Annual Vacation Pay Vacation pay shall be paid at the regular hourly rate of the Nurse in effect immediately prior to the Nurse taking vacation.
