Work in Advance of Shift. When a nurse at the request of the Employer, reports for work in advance of the assigned shift, all hours worked prior to the scheduled shift shall be paid at one and one-half times (1 ½ X) the nurse's regular rate.

Work in Advance of Shift. When an employee at the request of the Employer reports for work in advance of the assigned shift and continues working through the entire scheduled shift all hours worked prior to the scheduled shift shall be paid at the appropriate overtime rate.

Exempt from this provision are the Medical Assistants and Medical Assistant Leads who, as a requirement for their job, travel to satellite locations and need to begin their day prior to their typically standard start time. In addition, employees working in the Oregon Cardiology Clinic may flex their time by mutual agreement and be exempt from this provision.
