Pay on Temporary Transfers, Higher Rated Job. ‌ When an employee is assigned to perform the principal duties of a higher rated position within the bargaining unit, the employee shall receive the starting rate for the position, but in no instance will the employee receive less than the employee’s current rate. When an employee is assigned to perform the principal duties of a higher paying position outside the bargaining unit, the employee shall receive a temporary increase in rate of pay equivalent to ten percent (10%) of the employee’s current rate of pay. In no instance shall the temporary rate of pay exceed the maximum of pay of the higher paying position.
