Payment for Personal Property or Equipment Loss. 14.8.1 The District shall provide, with approval by the District superintendent or designee, for the payment of costs (current value) of replacing any unit member’s personal property (including but not limited to eyeglasses, vehicles, prostheses, etc.) that is stolen, damaged, or destroyed while the unit member was on duty, unless such damage or theft was due to negligence by the unit member. The amount of reimbursement to the unit member by the District shall be no more than five hundred dollars ($500) nor less than ten dollars ($10) per incident, but the District may allow for additional reimbursement.
