Personal Property Loss. An employee's personal property loss or damage by the action of a client shall be replaced or repaired at the expense of the Employer to a maximum of seven hundred and fifty ($750.00) dollars, subject to integration with one hundred (100%) per cent coverage by Workers' Compensation Board, provided that reasonable proof of the cause of such damage is submitted by the employee concerned within reasonable time of such loss or damage.
Personal Property Loss. Employee's personal property loss or damage, incurred in the course of carrying out their duties, shall be replaced or repaired at the expense of the Employer, if the employee was not culpable.
Personal Property Loss. The Employer shall provide reasonable compensation for damage to personal effects of employees which are both reasonable and necessary to the performance of their duties, such as eye glasses, clothing and wrist watches, where those personal effects are damaged by action of a resident, provided that the employees were not negligent.
Personal Property Loss. Employees shall be subject to the same personal property loss provisions as management employees. The terms of those provisions are available from the Risk Management office.
Personal Property Loss. The Board will reimburse employees for any loss, damage or destruction of clothing of the employee while fulfilling professional duties and assignments, providing reasonable care has been used by the employee concerned. The Board and Association agree there shall be no duplication of benefits and such reimbursement will be determined after the employee's personal insurance coverage benefits, if any, are deducted from the amount of the claim.
Personal Property Loss. The College is not liable for the loss of money, clothing, other valuables, or for the loss and/or damage to property belonging to the student. This would also include any personal goods stored in the residence hall facilities. It is strongly suggested that families extend their homeowners coverage to include the student’s possessions while away from home or that they purchase renter’s insurance. Brochures are available in the Office of Housing & Residence Life. The student understands and agrees that it shall be their own obligation to insure their personal property.

The District shall reimburse Unit Members for the repair or replacement of personal property of the Unit Member lost, damaged or destroyed while they were on duty in the school, on the school premises or at a school-sponsored activity, unless such damage or loss is due to negligence by the Unit Member, and is not covered by their personal insurance. Personal property shall include such things as eye glasses, hearing aids, dentures, watches, articles of clothing necessarily worn or carried by the Unit Member.

If personal property loss or damage is not protected by any of the provisions above, the District or its insurer shall reimburse an employee for any loss or damage to personal property used in the performance of professional duties. To be eligible for coverage, such personal property must have been recorded with the Principal prior to its loss or damage. The District’s liability on such protection shall be limited to paying up to one hundred dollars ($100) per claim for any portion of the loss not covered by the employee’s own insurance. The District’s total liability under this paragraph shall be limited to one thousand dollars ($1000) per fiscal year. Claims will be honored on a first-come first-serve basis.
