Payment of Part-Time and Temporary Teachers. (a) A Part-Time Teacher, including a Temporary Part-Time teacher, shall be paid at the same rate as a Full-Time teacher in the corresponding classification but in the proportion which the number of hours which are their normal teaching hours bear to the hours which a Full-Time Teacher at the School is normally required to teach. (b) A Temporary Full-Time Teacher shall be paid at the same rate as that prescribed for a Full-Time Teacher in the corresponding classification.

  • Part-Time and Temporary Employees 16.1. A part-time employee is one who is hired to work regularly twenty-four (24) hours per week or less. Except as expressly provided in the circumstances described in Article 16 (3) hereunder, a temporary employee is one employed for a special project or a specified time, in either case, not to exceed three (3) months except by mutual agreement, or in the case of students, the academic vacation period, or for a specified leave of absence. The Employer shall notify the employee and the CAW of the nature and anticipated duration of all temporary employment. 16.2. Neither part-time nor temporary employees shall be employed where such employment would eliminate or displace a regular or full-time employee. The Company will continue its practice of only hiring part-time or temporary employees when it deems it impractical to hire a full-time employee. 16.3. Notwithstanding Article 16 (1) above, temporary employees may be employed to replace regular employees who are absent due to illness, injury, maternity or other leave of absence to a maximum of twelve (12) months. The period of employment of the temporary employee will cease when the regular employee on leave returns to work or when the regular employee on leave informs the Company and the CAW in writing that he/she will not be returning to work. In any event, temporary employees hired pursuant to this Article 16 (3) shall not be employed for more than twelve (12) months except by mutual agreement in writing. 16.4. A part-time employee shall be paid on an hourly basis equivalent to the weekly minimum salary provided for the employee's classification and experience. 16.5. A part-time employee shall advance on the schedule of minimum salaries and shall receive all benefits that depend on length of service according to the length of his/her employment with the Employer, according to actual hours worked, based on a 1,600-hour year. 16.6. Temporary employees shall be paid an hourly rate consistent with the minimum weekly salary provided for their classification and experience. 16.7. Part-time and temporary employees shall be covered by all provisions of this Agreement, except as provided otherwise. 16.8. In the event of a part-time or temporary employee becoming a full-time employee, he/she shall be credited with the length of his/her employment with the Employer, according to actual hours worked, based on a 1,600-hour year.

  • Commencement of Benefits The benefits commence six (6) months from the date that disability began, which shall include the period of payment under the terms of the Short Term Income Protection Plan. Proof of disability must be submitted within six (6) months following the Qualifying Period.

  • Effective Date Term and Termination 1.1 The effective date ("EFFECTIVE DATE") of this Agreement shall be the date first above written. 1.2 The term of this Agreement ("TERM") commences on the Effective Date, and unless the Agreement is terminated pursuant to Section 1.3 or 1.4, it shall continue in force until "Completion Date" (as defined in Section 3.2). 1.3 Each party may terminate this Agreement (effective immediately upon written notice) if the other party materially breaches any provision of this Agreement if such breach continues and is not cured within [***] after written notice thereof by the non-breaching party, including the nature of the breach upon which such notice is based. Any such termination by SVI shall not affect SVI and Customer's respective rights with respect to any Deliverables and/or Professional Services delivered or performed and fully paid during the Term. 1.4 Customer may terminate this Agreement during the Term (a) upon written notice to SVI after [***] prior written notice, provided that Customer shall remain obligated to pay to SVI all amounts due SVI to such termination date (b) upon [***] written notice to SVI after a change of control (as defined in Section 13.1), or (c) on the occurrence of any of the following: (i) an assignment by SVI for the benefit of creditors; (ii) the appointment of a trustee or receiver for substantially all of SVI's assets; or (iii) to the extent termination is enforceable under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, a proceeding in bankruptcy is instituted against SVI which is acquiesced in, is not dismissed within [***], or results in an adjudication of bankruptcy. 1.5 After expiration or termination of this Agreement for any reason, other than related to Customer's breach, SVI shall promptly deliver any partially-created Deliverable that exists as of the expiration or termination date; provided that Customer pays SVI all amounts then due SVI. Upon delivery, such Deliverable shall be considered a "Deliverable" for all purposes hereunder. 1.6 Subject to each party's rights, remedies and defenses relating to any breach by the other party, the provisions of Sections 1.5, 1.6, 6 (with respect to Deliverables delivered in the Term, subject to Section 1.5), 9.1 (with respect to fees accrued prior to expiration or termination), 9.3, 12.2(a), 12.3-12.7, 14-33 shall survive expiration or termination of this Agreement (including the Revenue Sharing Term in Section 17.1) for any reason.   • Transition to Retirement 24.1 An Employee may advise their Employer in writing of their intention to retire within the next five years and participate in a retirement transition arrangement. 24.2 Transition to retirement arrangements may be proposed and, where agreed, implemented as: (a) a flexible working arrangement (see clause 16 (Flexible Working Arrangements)); (b) in writing between the parties; or (c) any combination of the above. 24.3 A transition to retirement arrangement may include but is not limited to: (a) a reduction in their EFT; (b) a job share arrangement; or (c) working in a position at a lower classification or rate of pay. 24.4 The Employer will consider, and not unreasonably refuse, a request by an Employee who wishes to transition to retirement: (a) to use accrued Long Service Leave (LSL) or Annual Leave for the purpose of reducing the number of days worked per week while retaining their previous employment status; or (b) to be appointed to a role which that has a lower hourly rate of pay or hours (post transition role), in which case: (i) the Employer will preserve the accrual of LSL at the time of reduction in salary or hours; and (ii) where LSL is taken or paid out in lieu on termination, the Employee will be paid LSL hours at the applicable classification and grade, and at the preserved hours, prior to the post transition role until the preserved LSL hours are exhausted.

  • NOTICE TO EMPLOYEES REGARDING THE SAFELY SURRENDERED BABY LAW The Contractor shall notify and provide to its employees, and shall require each Subcontractor to notify and provide to its employees, a fact sheet regarding the Safely Surrendered Baby Law, its implementation in Los Angeles County, and where and how to safely surrender a baby. The fact sheet is set forth in Exhibit I of this Contract and is also available on the Internet at xxx.xxxxxxxxxx.xxx for printing purposes.

  • File Management and Record Retention relating to CRF Eligible Persons or Households Grantee must maintain a separate file for every applicant, Eligible Person, or Household, regardless of whether the request was approved or denied. a. Contents of File: Each file must contain sufficient and legible documentation. Documents must be secured within the file and must be organized systematically.

  • Commencement of Services The Services will be commenced immediately upon receipt of the signed Proposal (the “Agreement”). If after commencement of the Services, the Project is delayed for any reason beyond Xxxxxxxxx’x control for more than 60 days, the terms and conditions contained herein will be subject to revision by Xxxxxxxxx. Subsequent modifications to this Agreement must be in writing and signed by the parties to the Agreement.

  • Term of Contract and Termination (1) This Contract shall enter into force with retroactive effect on Contract award. It documents the mutual rights and obligations on the delivery of gas by the Supplier on the basis of one or more successful tenders in the OGE call for tenders for fuel gas. This Contract shall end at the end of the delivery period without notice having to be given. (2) Notwithstanding paragraph 1, this Contract may be terminated with immediate effect for reasonable cause. Without limitation, the infringement of a major obligation under this Contract by one of the Parties or a change by the Federal Network Agency to other requirements which are binding on OGE regarding the procurement of fuel gas shall constitute reasonable cause. This Contract may also be terminated with immediate effect in the event of repeated significant infringements of this Contract. (3) Notice of termination shall not be valid unless made in writing.

  • Acceptance and Term of Employment The Company agrees to employ Executive and Executive agrees to serve the Company on the terms and conditions set forth herein. The Term of Employment hereunder shall commence on the Effective Date and shall continue until terminated as provided in Section 8 hereof.
