PEER ASSISTANCE, LEADERSHIP & SUPPORT (PALS. PROGRAM The MNEA and the Board agree that the Peer Assistance, Leadership and Support Program (PALS) is a collaborative effort between the parties to assist new and experienced teachers with instructional strategies. Through the program a cadre of outstanding teachers will be released to work as peer mentors within the Metro Nashville Public Schools. The program is in no way to be construed as a replacement for the regular evaluation process. In order to facilitate trust building and instructional improvement, the Board agrees not to use any documentation created by a Peer Assistant Leader (PAL) or any testimony from a PAL in evaluation or dismissal proceedings. Peer Assistant Leaders (PALS) will work with all principal/supervisor referrals, self-referrals and teachers new to Metro. Each PAL will assist those classroom teachers with the following activities. Each PAL will assist classroom teachers with the following activities: • non-evaluative classroom observations and feedback including best practices • goals setting and progress reports on goals • contacting others who may serve as additional resources to teachers • developing conferencing skills • informing teachers about Board Policy and the Educational Agreement (2005) • demonstration teaching • lesson planning • suggesting workshops, inservice programs, and college/graduate courses to help the teacher • self assessment techniques • conducting workshops • developing classroom management techniques Pending available funding and sufficient resources the Board will fund eleven (11) full-time released classroom teachers as PALS to work a ten-month contract plus five (5) days (a 206 day contract) in order to mentor new teachers and to respond to self referrals and principal/supervisor referrals. (2003) PALS will serve for three-year terms (subject to a mid-term review) with 33% (+/-1 position) rotating off each year. The Board agrees that the PALS, after completing their terms, will have a right to return to their previous school assignment. Nothing in this section shall preclude a PAL from using the established transfer process at the conclusion of an assignment as a PAL. (2003) The PALS Program will be governed by the PALS Program Panel, which is comprised of the president and vice-president of the MNEA, two (2) other association appointees, the director of staff development, one (1) principal, one (1) executive tier director, and one (1) tier director appointed by the Director of Schools.   • Peer Assistance and Review Program 1. MCEA and MCPS agree to jointly operate a Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) Program. The PAR Program is a mechanism for maintaining systemwide quality control and ensuring that all MCPS teachers responsible for teaching students are functioning at or above the high MCPS standards of performance. It provides intensive assistance for any teacher who has not yet achieved that standard or who falls below acceptable standards. Assistance and review are provided to both experienced MCPS teachers in need of significant improvement and teachers in their first year of teaching.

  • Peer Assistance Both new and experienced teachers benefit from professional support provided by other classroom teachers. For the purpose of this article, peer assistance describes activities planned and implemented by the Consulting Teacher in collaboration with the Participating Teacher and the supervising administrator. The activities shall be designed to strengthen the Participating Teacher’s skill and expertise in accordance with the California Standards for the Teaching Profession in the following areas: mastery of content, instructional skills and techniques, alignment to District approved goals and objectives, classroom management, planning and designing lessons for all children, assessment of student progress toward established standards, appropriate learning environment.

  • Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) Consulting Teachers (CT) will be assigned to all new teachers with no prior teaching experience and tenured teachers rated ineffective on the qualitative measures at the end of the previous school year and recommended by the PAR Panel. Evaluations for Probationary and Ineffective Teachers:

  • Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) means services and supports (including for example PCA services and home care nursing services) provided to Enrollees of all ages who have functional limitations and/or chronic illnesses, that have the primary purpose of supporting the ability of the Enrollee to live or work in the setting of their choice, which may include the Enrollee's home, a worksite, a provider-owned or controlled residential setting, a nursing facility, or other institutional setting.

  • Client Assistance You acknowledge that the implementation of the Tyler Software is a cooperative process requiring the time and resources of your personnel. You agree to use all reasonable efforts to cooperate with and assist us as may be reasonably required to meet the agreed upon project deadlines and other milestones for implementation. This cooperation includes at least working with us to schedule the implementation-related services outlined in this Agreement. We will not be liable for failure to meet any deadlines and milestones when such failure is due to Force Majeure or to the failure by your personnel to provide such cooperation and assistance (either through action or omission).

  • Customer Assistance If any job requires that any aspect of the Services, such as Code implementation, be performed on Customer’s premises, Customer will supply Tealium personnel with such information, resources, and assistance as Tealium may reasonably request. Customer acknowledges and agrees that Tealium’s ability to successfully provide the Services in a timely manner is contingent upon its timely receipt from Customer of such information, resources and assistance as may be reasonably requested by Tealium. Tealium will have no liability for deficiencies or delays in the Services resulting from the acts or omissions of Customer, its agents, or employees or performance of the Services in accordance with Customer’s instructions. Without limiting the foregoing, Customer acknowledges and agrees that if Tealium is unable to deploy all of the Services specified in the Service Order as a result of delay attributable to Customer, then all set-up fees specified in the Service Order will be deemed earned by Tealium and payable by Customer, notwithstanding such delay in deployment.

  • Turnover Assistance Grantee will provide any assistance and actions reasonably necessary to enable System Agency or its designee to effectively close out the Grant Agreement and transfer the performance and obligations of the Grant Agreement to another Grantee or to System Agency if necessary. Grantee agrees that this obligation survives the termination, regardless of whether for cause or convenience, or the expiration of the Grant Agreement and remains in effect until completed to the satisfaction of System Agency.

  • TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM A. As part of the University policy to encourage staff members to further their formal education, the Tuition Assistance Program for Employees was established. Under the Tuition Assistance plan, qualified Employees will be issued vouchers which will enable them to register without paying tuition. (Incidental fees, however, must be paid by the Employee.)

  • AIN Selective Carrier Routing for Operator Services, Directory Assistance and Repair Centers 4.3.1 BellSouth will provide AIN Selective Carrier Routing at the request of <<customer_name>>. AIN Selective Carrier Routing will provide <<customer_name>> with the capability of routing operator calls, 0+ and 0- and 0+ NPA (LNPA) 555-1212 directory assistance, 1+411 directory assistance and 611 repair center calls to pre-selected destinations.
