Peer Assistance and Review. (PAR) Consulting Teachers (CT) will be assigned to all new teachers with no prior teaching experience and tenured teachers rated ineffective on the qualitative measures at the end of the previous school year and recommended by the PAR Panel. Evaluations for Probationary and Ineffective Teachers:
Peer Assistance and Review the mandatory component of this Program – shall be provided through Consulting Teachers to permanent teachers who are “Participating Teachers” as defined in this Article. This assistance shall not constitute the evaluation of certificated unit members as set forth in Article 14 and Education Code Section 44660, et seq.
Peer Assistance and Review. 39.1 There shall be a Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) Program (hereafter referred to as “Program) for all eligible TK-12 UESF unit members who have classroom responsibilities. Pre-K unit members may volunteer for the PAR program in accordance with Appendix L of the contract. The Program shall have three distinct components: New Teacher Component, second year teacher assistance, and the Permanent Teacher Intervention Component. This article shall supersede Article 16, Evaluation, of the SFUSD/UESF contract for teachers participating in the PAR Program.

Peer Assistance and Review. The phase when it has been determined, as a result of the Advisory Phase, the practitioner has received two or more ratings of unsatisfactory performance as identified on the Advisory Phase Form.
Peer Assistance and Review. 14.1. Purpose
14.1.1. The Peer Assistance and Review Program (PAR) allows exemplary teachers to assist permanent and beginning teachers in the areas of subject matter knowledge, teaching strategies, and teaching methods.
14.1.2. The PAR program’s assistance shall be provided through Consulting Teachers as described in detail in this Article.
14.1.2.1. This assistance shall not involve either participating in or conducting of the evaluation of certificated unit members as set forth in Article 11 of the Agreement and Education Code 44660, et seq.
14.1.3. The PAR program resources shall be utilized in the following priority: • First, for Referred Participating Teachers; • Second, for Beginning Teachers; and • Third, for volunteers as determined by the Joint Panel (see 14.4.1).
14.2. Definitions for the Purpose of this Document
Peer Assistance and Review. Purpose The Peer Assistance and Review Program (PAR) allows exemplary teachers to assist certain permanent, referred and voluntary teachers in the areas of subject matter knowledge, teaching strategies and teaching methods. It furthers the District and the Association’s goal of improving the quality of instruction and, in turn, supporting successful student achievement. (Education Code §44500 ct. seq.) This shall be accomplished through the use of Consulting Teachers who will not participate in or conduct evaluations of certificated Unit Members as set forth in Article 7, Evaluation.
Peer Assistance and Review. A process has been developed to provide neutral, non-judgmental and remedial assistance to bargaining unit members for the purpose of improving their performance. See Appendix A for the Peer Assistance program.
Peer Assistance and Review. During the 2009-10 school year, the Parties will work collaboratively to design a peer assistance and review program. If the Parties are unable to reach agreement on the details of such a program, either may reject its use.
i. The Parties direct the Teacher Evaluation Committee to design a program providing for peer review of teacher performance and for peer assistance to teachers in need of improvement.
ii. The Committee’s recommendations shall be presented to the Board and the Union no later than February 15, 2010.
iii. No later than April 1, 2010, the Parties shall meet and confer regarding the availability of resources to support the program and how the uses may best be focused to implement it during the 2010-11 school year.
