Personal Electronic Devices. Where an Employer requests and an Employee agrees to download and maintain software on a personal electronic device (such as a mobile phone or tablet), which is primarily for the benefit of the Employer, the Employer commits that such software will not be used for the purpose of timekeeping or tracking the Employee.
Personal Electronic Devices. Officers are authorized to wear personal electronic devices (PED), including cell phones, smart watches, and fitness trackers that have messaging and phone alert capabilities, in identified screening areas. PEDs may be displayed visibly, for example, worn on the belt. PEDs must not be used for personal purposes, except to check the time, while officers are performing screening functions or are within the screening area at any time. PEDs may only be used for personal purposes during an officer’s rest or meal break in a designated area that is not co-located with the TSA screening area. PEDs must be silenced with alert features deactivated when worn by officers in TSA screening areas, including baggage pods/rooms. PEDs must also be silenced with alert features deactivated when worn by officers in areas adjacent to TSA screening areas if such features may be heard by the traveling public or may distract other bargaining unit employees in the screening area.
Personal Electronic Devices. As per your student handbook, students will be allowed to bring personal electronic devices to campuses that permit their use. For the purpose of this program, the word “devices” will include: laptops, cell phones, smart phones, iPads, Chromebooks, iPods, tablets and e-readers.
Personal Electronic Devices. 1. Employees shall be allowed to possess and use personal electronic devices (i.e., cell phones, smart phones, laptops, tablets, iPods, etc.) during duty hours.
2. Use of personal electronic devices is not authorized under the following circumstances:
a. In secure areas such as COMSEC vaults or any other type of room or facility where the use of personal electronic devices is specifically prohibited by governing regulations pursuant to national security concerns.
b. Within hazard areas (e.g., inside the yellow or red lines) such as in a maintenance bay while actively performing work on vehicles, aircraft, or other equipment. Employees may use, store, or keep personal devices immediately outside of hazard areas (e.g., on top of a work bench or toolbox) as long as the device’s use or presence does not interfere with general good order and discipline or hinder the ability of the employee or their co- workers from performing their assigned duties.
c. While operating government vehicles of any type. However, employees operating GSA passenger vehicles for official travel purposes can use hands-free features that may be available as provided by the vehicle manufacturer.
d. To the extent that the use of the device creates a safety risk.

Personal Electronic Devices. No Employee shall be permitted to use a personal phone or mobile electronic device for during working hours, excluding rest and meal breaks, except in case of emergency. Construction sites and installations shall be considered the employers intellectual property and photographs or any form of documentation shall not be taken of any construction sites and installations unless permitted by the employer. Repeated violations of the foregoing shall constitute just cause for discipline up to and including termination.

3. The Agency may not confiscate nor request that an employee surrender or allow examination of the contents of a personal communication device except pursuant to an order issued by appropriate legal authority. When the Agency seeks to confiscate or examine an employee’s personal communication device pursuant to an investigation, the provisions of Sections 5.3, 5.4, and 13.2 (Investigation, Examination and Representation) will apply.
Personal Electronic Devices. The school reserves the right to search any electronic device brought to school. Students may not engage in texting during the school day. Students involved in texting at school face detention, suspension and/or expulsion. If parents need to leave messages for their child/ren, the school will ensure the message is delivered to the student in a timely manner. Virtual reality sites pose a developmental and moral risk to the life of a student. Parents are cautioned to be aware of the online sites visited by their children, knowing that often predators are not living in a neighborhood, but within the home via a computer. Students whose avatars depict other students, teachers or school staff, parish, archdiocesan, or other Church personnel in a defamatory light face detention, suspension, or expulsion.
Personal Electronic Devices. 19.3.3.1 Employees will not be required to use their personal cellular telephones) computers, tablets, or other electronic devices to conduct State business. Employees should not store any State information on personal device(s). However, if an employee chooses to use their personal device(s) to conduct State business, employees are on notice that there is a significant risk that such device(s) may be subject to Employer search and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public Records Act.
19.3.3.2 Contact from the Employer for the purposes of scheduling or Overtime is not considered conducting State business.
Personal Electronic Devices. The ability to use a computer for data acquisition and data analysis is an essential component of modern chemistry. For some activities, the Chemistry Department may provide Vernier LabQuest tablets, laptops, or desktops for data acquisition and analysis. However, students may bring their personal electronic devices (laptops, tablets, cell phones, etc.) to the laboratory to assist in data acquisition and analysis, if they wish. The following enumerates the Chemistry Department’s policies with regard to student personal electronic devices in our laboratory facilities.
