Common use of Physical and Mental Causes Clause in Contracts

Physical and Mental Causes. Extended health leave due to physical or mental causes not falling within the cumulative sick leave policy shall be granted without pay to instructional personnel upon the recommendation of the Human Resources Director and upon the approval of the Board. The attending physician shall send separately to the Human Resources Director a written diagnosis. Such health leave may be considered for renewal annually upon the written stipulations given in the preceding statement. No salary increment shall be recognized for such leave.
