Common use of Position of reinforcement Clause in Contracts

Position of reinforcement. TS-201 The actual concrete cover to all steel at any point should not be smaller than the required nominal cover by more than 5mm. TS-202 The effective depth of fully or nearly fully stressed tensile . reinforcement should not be less than that given on the drawings by an amount exceeding 5 percent.of the effective depth of the section being considered or 5mm whichever .is the greater .
