Common use of Position to be Eliminated Clause in Contracts

Position to be Eliminated. If the City determines the need for a reduction in it's work force for lack of work or lack of funds, written notice of not less than fourteen (14) calendar days shall be provided to regular employees to be laid off. The City Manager will approve the positions to be eliminated and the employees to be laid off within each affected job class as determined by the Department Head.
