Holiday Pay for Part-Time EmployeesHoliday pay for part-time employees will be prorated. Paid holiday hours are determined by dividing the number of authorized hours by forty (40) and multiplying by eight (8). Holiday hours to be paid are subtracted from the authorized position hours.
Holiday Pay for Part-Time Employees. For paid holidays as set out in Article 19.01, a part-time Employee receives holiday pay computed as the Employee’s average earnings, exclusive of overtime, in the thirty (30) calendar day period immediately preceding the paid holiday.
Holiday Pay for Part-Time Employees. (a) All part-time employees shall, unless they are on leave without pay, be paid for the holidays listed in Article 15.01 at an amount equal to: (1) their regular scheduled hours for the day which they would have worked but for the holiday; or (2) if the part-time employee would not be regularly scheduled to work on the holiday, the total number of hours paid in the previous twenty-eight (28) calendar days divided by twenty (20). The Employer shall pay this amount within two (2) pay periods following the holiday. (b) Part-time employees on union leave for which the union reimburses the Employer shall be paid holiday pay. (c) Where a part-time employee is scheduled to work on a day on which HRL is closed to observe a holiday, the employee shall receive the day off without loss of pay or benefits.
Holiday Pay for Part-Time Employees. A part-time Employee shall receive holiday pay in accordance with the formula set out in the Ontario Employment Standards Act, as amended from time to time, for the hours normally scheduled to work on the above-noted holidays for which he or she qualifies for a paid holiday.
Holiday Pay for Part-Time Employees. Part-time employees will be entitled to paid holidays based on their regular daily hours of work only for paid holidays that fall on days on which they would otherwise be required to work and provided they have worked five (5) out of the previous nine (9) weekdays corresponding to the weekday on which the holiday falls. Part-time employees must also meet the qualifications set out in Article 7.4 (b) and (c).
Holiday Pay for Part-Time Employees. (a) For paid holidays as set out in Article 19.01, a part-time Employee receives holiday pay computed as the Employee’s average earnings, exclusive of overtime, in the thirty (30) calendar day period immediately preceding the paid holiday. (b) Part-time Employees who are regularly scheduled to work three (3) or more shifts in a calendar week may receive holiday pay or may elect to receive a shift off with pay, in lieu of the holiday, within a period of four (4) weeks after the holiday, unless otherwise arranged between the Employee and the Employer. (c) Part-time Employees who are regularly scheduled to work two (2) or less shifts in a calendar week receive holiday pay in accordance with the averaging formula in paragraph (a) above.
Holiday Pay for Part-Time Employees. (a) Part-time employees who are required to work on a Recognized Holiday shall receive pay at the rate of one and one-half (1½) times the employee’s hourly rate for work performed on such holiday, plus Holiday Pay at one (1) times the employee’s hourly rate as per the Employment Standards Act. (b) Holiday pay for those part-time employees who do not work on a Recognized Holiday shall be calculated on the following basis: (i) Number of hours worked in a four (4) week period immediately preceding the Holiday to a (ii) times (X) the employee's hourly rate of pay (iii) times (X) eight (8) hours.
Holiday Pay for Part-Time Employees. A. When a holiday falls on a day of the week when a part-time employee is normally scheduled to work, the employee will be paid pro-rated holiday pay based on his/her FTE. If not working on such holiday would result in a reduction of the number of hours normally worked per week by the employee, the employee shall, at his/her option, be allowed to make up the time lost due to the holiday if work is available during that pay period. B. When a holiday falls on a day of the week when a part-time employee is normally not scheduled to work, the employee will be paid pro-rated holiday pay based on his/her FTE. If the addition of such holiday pay would result in an employee receiving pay for more than their normally scheduled number of hours per week, then the Employer may either reduce their remaining work week by the applicable number of hours, or bank the additional hours as comp time in accordance with Section 11.4 (D).
Holiday Pay for Part-Time Employees. All eligible part-time Unit employees regularly scheduled to work 20 hours or more per week on a continuous basis shall receive prorated holiday pay for each holiday provided to full-time Unit employees: employees regularly scheduled to work 20 hours per week shall receive 4 hours holiday pay; employees regularly scheduled to work 30 hours per week shall receive 6 hours holiday pay.
