Common use of Post Offer Pre-employment Substance Testing Clause in Contracts

Post Offer Pre-employment Substance Testing. As part of the Board’s employment procedures, all applicants will be required to undergo a post- offer, pre-employment drug screen/test that is conducted by a contractor designated by the Board. Any offer of employment is contingent upon, among other things, satisfactory completion of this screening within three (3) days of the conditional offer, and the determination by the Board that the applicant is capable of performing the responsibilities of the position that has been offered. If a newly hired employee is required to report to work immediately, that employee will be tested within seven (7) days of his or her first day of employment and will be considered probationary until the results of the drug screen/test are known.
