Common use of POWER DISPATCHING Clause in Contracts

POWER DISPATCHING. 40.1 Power Dispatching shall be performed by employees in the following classifications: Power Dispatcher, Senior Power Dispatcher Power Dispatcher, Assistant 40.2 The working schedule for each work period of twenty-eight (28) days shall be posted with copies available for each individual, a minimum of seven (7) days before it is to go into effect. The working schedule shall provide for rotation of shifts and/or rotation of days off in a repeatable pattern which shall be mutually agreed upon by the Union and the Department. The Dispatchers shall have the right to trade shifts among themselves, provided that such shift trades do not result in additional expense to the Department. The Dispatchers shall have the right to trade shifts among themselves, provided that such shift trades do not result in additional expense to the Department, and that the trades are approved by their supervisors. Bidding within the same classification to these agreed upon work schedules shall be by seniority as defined in Section 28.14. 40.3 Dispatchers will be allowed to use accrued vacation on their days off.
