Preliminary Proceedings Relating to Dismissal. When reason arises to question the fitness of a tenured, temporary, or probationary academic employee, the initial step shall be for the Executive Vice President for Instruction to discuss the matter with him/her in a personal conference. Notification of the conference shall include notice that the individual has a right to have a Federation representative present. The matter may be terminated by mutual consent at this point, but if an adjustment does not result, the case shall be referred to the President.
