Shared Leave. The purpose of the leave sharing program is to permit state employees, at no significantly increased cost to the State, of providing leave to come to the aid of another state employee who has been called to service in the uniformed services, who is responding to a state of emergency anywhere within the United States declared by the federal or state government, who is a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking, or who is suffering from or has a relative or household member suffering from, an extraordinary or severe illness, injury, impairment, or physical or mental condition, which has caused or is likely to cause the employee to take leave without pay or terminate their employment. For purposes of the leave sharing program, the following definitions apply:
Shared Leave. Any portion of a personal holiday that remains will be taken by the employee in one (1) absence, not to exceed the work shift on the day of the absence, subject to the request and approval as described in Subsections B, C and D above.
Shared Leave. A. The purpose of the state leave sharing program is to permit state employees to donate vacation leave, sick leave, or personal holidays to a fellow state employee who is:
1. Called to service in the uniformed services;
Shared Leave. Leave without pay.
Shared Leave. 24.1 The purpose of this article is to inform employees of the basic provision of the leave-sharing program established by RCW 41.04.650 - 41.04.670, as now or hereafter amended. In the event that there is any question as to leave sharing eligibility, entitlement or definition of terms, the language of the Revised Code of Washington is definitive. The leave sharing program permits eligible state employees to donate a portion of their time off to financially aid other state employees who will need to take unpaid time off or separate from employment because of:
A. Having a severe or extraordinary illness; or
B. Having caregiver responsibilities for a relative or household member with a severe or extraordinary illness; or
C. The employee is serving as an approved emergency worker; or
D. When voluntarily or involuntarily serving in one of the uniformed services; of the United States, or
E. Being a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking, or assisting a family member who is a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking, or
F. Sickness or temporary disability due to a pregnancy-related medical condition or miscarriage; or
G. Taking parental leave to bond with and care for their newborn, adoptive or xxxxxx child, for a period of up to sixteen (16) weeks after birth or placement.
Shared Leave. The Parties agree to adopt a Shared Leave Program under the terms and conditions set forth in applicable Port policies covering shared leave of salaried employees.
(a) Purpose: The Shared Leave Program enables employees to donate accrued sick leave to fellow employees who are faced with taking leave without pay or termination due to extraordinary or severe physical or mental illnesses. Implementation of the program for any individual employee is subject to agreement by the Employer, and the availability of shared leave from other employees. The Employer's decisions in implementing and administering the shared leave program shall be reasonable.
Shared Leave. Employees may participate in the University’s shared leave program in accordance with state law and University policy as set forth in the Administrative Policy Statements 45.10.
Shared Leave.
13.1 State employees may donate vacation leave, sick leave, or personal holidays to a fellow state employee who is called to service in the uniformed services, responding to a state of emergency anywhere within the United States declared by the federal or any state government, bonding with their newborn, adoptive or xxxxxx child, sick or temporarily disabled because of pregnancy or child birth, a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking, or suffering from or has a relative or household member suffering from an extraordinary or severe illness, injury, impairment, or physical or mental condition. An employee is eligible to request participation in the shared leave program when the employee is able to use accrued vacation leave, sick leave, or a personal holiday. For purposes of the state leave sharing program, the following definitions apply:
Shared Leave. A. The purpose of the leave sharing program is to permit state employees, at no significantly increased cost to the State, to come to the aid of another state employee who is likely to go on leave without pay status or terminate state employment because the employee:
1. Has been called to service in the uniformed services;
2. Is responding to a state of emergency anywhere within the United States declared by the federal or state government;
3. Is taking parental leave to bond with their newborn, adoptive or xxxxxx child;
4. Is sick or temporarily disabled because of pregnancy;
5. Has been a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking;
6. Is suffering from or has a relative or household member suffering from an extraordinary or severe illness, injury, impairment, or physical or mental condition;
7. Is a current member of the uniformed services or is a veteran as defined under RCW 41.04.005, and is attending medical appointments or treatments for a service connected injury or disability; or
8. Is a spouse of a current member of the uniformed services or a veteran as defined under RCW 41.04.005, who is attending medical appointments or treatments for a service connected injury or disability and requires assistance while attending appointment or treatment. The Employer’s shared leave program is administered by the Associate Vice President for Human Resource Services or their designee.
B. For purposes of the leave sharing program, the following definitions apply:
Shared Leave. Any remaining portions of a personal holiday must be taken as one (1) absence.
