Common use of PREPARATION OF BIDS Clause in Contracts

PREPARATION OF BIDS. (a) Bidders are expected to examine the drawings, specifications, invitations, and all instructions. Failure to do so will be at the bidder's risk. (b) Bids must be in ink or printed on the bid forms furnished herewith. Bids submitted in pencil will be rejected. Bids containing alterations or erasures will be rejected, unless the alteration or erasure is crossed out and correction thereof printed in ink or typewritten adjacent thereto and initialed by the person signing the bid. In addition, a statement must be furnished with the bid, signed by the bidder explaining the correction of the alteration or erasure.
