Preparatory Time. 4.1 Locomotive engineers will report for duty 15 minutes prior to departure from the shop track or station or change-off point or designated track, or prior to the commencement of work train service.
4.2 Locomotive engineers in passenger service will be paid for such time on the basis of 20 miles per hour and in all other service on the basis of 12-1/2 miles per hour at the applicable rate for the performance of preparatory and such other duties as may be required.
4.3 Time paid under this article will not be used to make up the basic day.
Preparatory Time. 33.1 Locomotive engineers will report for duty 10 minutes prior to time locomotives are required to leave shop track or in instances where locomotive engineers change off in yard, 10 minutes prior to the starting time of the assignment. Such time shall be allowed for performing duties required of them prior to leaving shop track or prior to the starting time of the assignment and shall be paid for at a rate per hour of 1/8th of the daily rate applicable to the locomotive. Such time shall not be used to make up the basic day.
Preparatory Time. In addition to the established driving time for his/her regular runs, the driver will be paid at his/her regular pay rate for an additional sixty (60) minutes per day for duty as follows, provided the driver shows up fifteen (15) minutes prior to departure, or has any waiting time as per Section 9.4.4.2.
9.4.4.1 Reporting fifteen (15) minutes prior to approved departure time in the morning to assist with warm-up of engine, bus cleaning and pre-trip check; ten (10) minutes before afternoon run departure time for engine warm-up, pre-trip check and bus cleaning. If a driver cannot arrive at the garage ahead of departure time as specified above to handle the pre-trip duties, this work may be assigned to others with a corresponding adjustment in the daily time allowance for such duties. No driver, however, shall be relieved of the responsibility of making the pre-trip check of his/her bus.
9.4.4.2 For any additional time or waiting time necessitated in making the regular runs when the time of beginning or dismissal of school is changed temporarily due to weather conditions or other reasons. This section shall be reviewed by the parties hereto from time to time as appropriate.
9.4.4.3 In the event of an unusual school closure or delay, the District will notify employees through normal emergency closure procedures, including posting the notice to media outlets and the designated agency websites. Should a late start or closure notice be posted after 5:00am and an employee reports to work, the employee will be paid a minimum of two (2) hours of work. When there is a school delay due to inclement weather, drivers may report to work at a delayed time, but with sufficient time to complete their routes.
9.4.4.4 For making route and load reports, discipline reports, accident reports and conferences. Drivers who must spend a great amount of time on a particular accident, or who must attend court to testify concerning accidents involving them while on duty, will be paid in such a way as to compensate them in accordance with the circumstances involved.
9.4.4.5 The pay rate for extra work such as chaining, gassing, or bus washing shall be compensated at the employee’s base hourly rate.
9.4.4.6 Except as hereinabove provided, drivers shall be compensated at the appropriate rate for all hours worked.
Preparatory Time. (a) Engineers obtaining locomotives on shop track except as provided in Article 2.8 will report for duty 10 minutes prior to time locomotives are required to leave the shop track. Such time shall be allowed for performing duties required of them prior to leaving the shop track at beginning of a day’s work and shall be paid for at a rate per hour of 1/8th of the daily rate applicable to the locomotive.
(b) Time paid under this Article shall not be used to make up the basic day. The provisions of this Article do not apply to engineers acting as pilots.
Preparatory Time. Passenger Service
4.1 Locomotive engineers obtaining locomotives on shop track, except as provided in Article 8, will report for duty 15 minutes prior to time locomotives are required to leave shop track. Such time shall be allowed for performing duties required of them prior to leaving the shop track at beginning of a day's work, and shall be paid for at a rate per hour of 1/8th, or 1/5th, as the case may be, of the daily rate applicable to the locomotive.
4.2 Locomotive engineers on electric locomotives, electric car and motor car service, and diesel-electric locomotive operating in short turnaround passenger service (no single trip of which exceeds 80 miles) will be paid for all time necessary for the performance of preparatory and such other duties as may be required prior to departure from station at initial terminal, on the minute basis at pro rata with a minimum of 15 minutes applicable to the locomotive or motor car operated. 4.3 Locomotive engineers obtaining locomotives on shop track except as provided in Article 8, will report for duty 15 minutes prior to time locomotives are required to leave shop track. Such time shall be allowed for performing duties required of them prior to leaving the shop track at beginning of a day's work and shall be paid for at a rate per hour of 1/8th of the daily rate applicable to the locomotive. 4.4 Time paid under this Article shall not be used to make up the basic day.
Preparatory Time. 33.1 Locomotive engineers obtaining locomotives on shop track, except as provided in Article 36, will report for duty fifteen (15) minutes prior to time locomotives are required to leave shop track. Such time shall be allowed for performing duties required of them prior to leaving the shop track at beginning of a day’s work, and shall be paid for at applicable rate.
33.2 Locomotive engineers will report for duty fifteen (15) minutes prior to departure from shop track or station or change off point or designated track.
33.3 Time paid under this article, shall not be used to make up the basic day. Article 34 Initial Terminal Time 34.1 Initial terminal time will be computed and paid for on the following basis:
(a) Straight-away service - Diesel - electric locomotives obtained on shop track or other designated location. From time locomotive leaves shop track or other designated location until departure of train from initial passenger station.
(b) Straight-away-service - Changing off on diesel-electric locomotives. Time occupied picking up and/or setting off a car (or cars) from their train, within fifteen (15) minutes of time required to report for duty, also all time in excess of fifteen (15) minutes from time required to report for duty until departure of train from initial passenger station.
(c) Straight-away service - Electric locomotives, From time required to report for duty until departure of train from initial passenger station.
(d) Time paid under sub-articles (a), (b) and (c) of this article will be computed on the minute basis at passenger rates of pay.
(e) Short turnaround service - Diesel-electric locomotives, electric locomotives, DocuSign Envelope ID: 1F169EBD-753C-42E8-8F93-8D08F73DD7E7 From time required to report for duty until departure from initial passenger station. Such time to be paid for on the minute basis at passenger rates of pay.
(f) Time paid under sub-articles (c) and (e) of this Article 34 will cover all service performed prior to time of departure from initial passenger station.
Preparatory Time. (a) Engineers obtaining locomotives on shop track except as provided in Article 1.6 will report for duty 10 minutes prior to time locomotives are required to leave shop track. Such time shall be allowed for performing duties required of them prior to leaving the shop track at beginning of a day’s work, and shall be paid for at a rate per hour of 1/8th or 1/5th as the case may be, of the daily rate applicable to the locomotive.
(b) Engineers on electric locomotives, electric car or motor car service, and diesel-electric locomotives operating in short turnaround passenger service (no single trip of which exceeds 80 miles) will be paid for all time necessary for the performance of preparatory work and such other duties as may be required prior to departure from station at initial terminal, on the minute basis at pro rata rate with a minimum of 15 minutes applicable to the locomotive or motor car operated.
(c) Time paid under this Article shall not be used to make up the basic day.
Preparatory Time. All operators, except operators relieving another operator, must report to the dispatcher ten (10) minutes before their runs are due out. Such time shall be used to prepare transfers, check their personal appearance, complete pre-trip inspections, including wheelchair lift operation, and to start the buses. For each run pulled from the Employer's garage the operator shall receive ten (10) minutes preparatory time regardless of the number of vehicles they may pull from the garage in any one (1) day. Each operator relieving another operator shall receive four (4) minutes of preparatory time before the runs are due out. This time shall be used to ensure a smooth transition from one operator to another and to allow the operator to check his or her personal appearance.
Preparatory Time. Full-time teachers’ schedules will include a minimum of 450 minutes of preparatory time per week, in no less than 20 minute segments, subject to the common terms of 5.
Preparatory Time. A. Each Operator will be allowed fifteen (15) minutes preparatory time for the purpose of getting equipment ready for pull out.
B. An employee driving non-revenue equipment is excluded from this section unless the employee uses a vehicle which is to be put into line service when making her relief. In this event, the employee pulling the vehicle out will be paid preparatory time.
