Preservation of Evidence and Chain of Custody Sample Clauses

Preservation of Evidence and Chain of Custody. Whenever a school official receives from school employees or directly seizes a document, an electronic device or any other item that the official believes may contain evidence of HIB, reasonable precautions shall be taken to prevent its theft, destruction or unlawful use by any person. It is understood and agreed that under no circumstances shall any person alter, destroy or otherwise dispose of any such evidence. Such evidence shall be maintained in a locked and secure location and the handling of such evidence shall be documented in order to provide a record that no one has had an opportunity to tamper with the evidence.

  • Preservation of Existence, Etc (a) Preserve, renew and maintain in full force and effect its legal existence and good standing under the Laws of the jurisdiction of its organization except in a transaction permitted by Section 7.04 or 7.05; (b) take all reasonable action to maintain all rights, privileges, permits, licenses and franchises necessary or desirable in the normal conduct of its business, except to the extent that failure to do so could not reasonably be expected to have a Material Adverse Effect; and (c) preserve or renew all of its registered patents, trademarks, trade names and service marks, the non-preservation of which could reasonably be expected to have a Material Adverse Effect.
