Common use of Priority for Approval Clause in Contracts

Priority for Approval. Vacation leave may be taken at any time during the year provided the employee has applied in advance on the application form provided by the Employer and such leave has been approved. Notwithstanding the first paragraph, vacation leave preferences will be sought from the employees prior to April 1st of the calendar year in which the leave is to be taken. The vacation leave preferences submitted prior to April 1st will be considered on the basis of seniority. Vacation leave applications received after April 1st will be considered as they are received and seniority will not be taken into account.
