Common use of Private Matter Clause in Contracts

Private Matter. The Employer agrees that all disciplinary procedures shall be carried out in a private and business-like manner. Any employee in disagreement with the action taken by the Employer may file a grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure contained in this Agreement; with regard to disciplinary action, only reductions in pay, suspension, or discharge are appealable to the arbitration step of the grievance procedure.
