Common use of Probation Upon Voluntary Transfer or Promotion Clause in Contracts

Probation Upon Voluntary Transfer or Promotion. ‌ An employee voluntarily transferring from one position to another or promoting to a higher position shall serve a six (6) month probationary period. Accrued benefits including annual leave, compensatory time off and sick leave, shall not be affected and may be used by the employee at the discretion of the Appointing Authority. Persons who are involuntarily transferred shall not serve a probationary period.
