PROCEDURE FOR VOLUNTARY TRANSFERS. A. Voluntary transfer requests shall be considered once a position has been posted or known to be in existence. B. All voluntary transfers shall require the consent of the receiving Principal involved, the Superintendent and the School Board. An unsuccessful applicant may, upon written request, be given a follow-up interview. C. When two (2) or more teachers are requesting transfer to a vacant position, seniority will be considered, provided that all candidates are fully qualified and certified for the vacancy that exists. D. Years of experience shall be carried forward upon transfer within the same job classification.
PROCEDURE FOR VOLUNTARY TRANSFERS a. A voluntary transfer occurs when an Employee requests to move from one position to a different position in the District. b. Once the involuntary transfer process is completed, a list of remaining vacancies will be identified on the District’s website. c. All voluntary transfer requests will be given consideration by the principals. A change in assignment will result only through mutual agreement between the receiving principal and the Employee requesting the transfer and approval from the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources. d. Any Employee who is denied a voluntary transfer may request an explanation of that denial from the District.
PROCEDURE FOR VOLUNTARY TRANSFERS. 1. Employees who desire a change in grade and/or subject assignment within the same building or who wish to transfer to another building shall apply for any vacant or new position. Application shall be made upon standard forms supplied by the Superintendent within the ten (10) day posting period. 2. Before the regular school year, permanent system vacancies shall be filled first by voluntary transfers of teachers within the ▇▇▇▇ County school system before being filled by persons not employed by the ▇▇▇▇ County school system provided that the current system employee is better or equally qualified, as noted in Article 16-C, than any non-system applicant. 3. With the exception of vacancies for special education, coaching, and specialized certification positions, all vacancies occurring after September 1 of any school year shall be filled with a temporary certified employee for the remainder of the school year. The position shall be posted by April 15 as a vacancy for the following school year. 4. In the event two or more certified employees apply for the same position, the applicant with the best qualifications shall be assigned the position. If qualifications are deemed essentially equal, in accordance with the provisions of Article 16, seniority in the school system shall be the controlling factor.
