Procedures Applicable in All Cases. (i) The Search Committee of the Department or non-departmentalized College shall make a recommendation of the appropriate rank and salary for a candidate. The salary recommendation shall be comprised of a CDI count and Special Increase count. The starting salary of the candidate shall not be less than the recommended salary and may not be more than 2 CDIs or Special Increases above the recommended salary without referral back to the Search Committee;
