Processing of Yard Trimmings. 8 CONTRACTOR shall ensure that all Yard Trimmings (“YT”) collected pursuant to 9 this Agreement are diverted from the Disposal Facility in accordance with AB 939 (the 10 California Integrated Waste Management Act, Public Resources Code § 40000 et seq.), 11 subsequent legislation and regulations, and are processed into one or more of the 12 Approved Products listed in Exhibit 14 (“Approved Products”) to this Agreement. 13 CONTRACTOR shall ensure that the YT collected pursuant to this Agreement is 14 neither disposed of in a landfill nor utilized as alternative daily cover (ADC) at a landfill 15 or other landfill application without prior written consent from CITY’s Director of 16 Environmental Services.
