Common use of Professional Aids and Supplies Clause in Contracts

Professional Aids and Supplies. The Board of Education recognizes that appropriate texts, library reference facilities, maps and globes, laboratory equipment, audio-visual equipment, art supplies, athletic equipment, current periodicals, standard tests and questionnaires, and similar materials are the tools of the teaching profession. The Superintendent and the Association will confer from time to time for the purpose of improving the selection and use of educational tools. No teacher shall be required to spend his money on supplies for the school. The teacher in no case shall be evaluated in any area because of lack of supplies to carry out his teaching duties.
