Common use of Professional Certification Clause in Contracts

Professional Certification. (1) Effective upon ratification of this agreement an employee who is required by his/her classification specification to maintain a professional registration, license, or certification and has obtained prior verification from his/her department head, or who has a professional registration, license, or certification that is beneficial to the City as determined by the City Manager or designee, shall be reimbursed for the fees required to renew or maintain the certification. Subject to written approval by the department head additional registrations or certifications may be approved annually.
