  • Alcohol (a) A worker who returns a negative alcohol test will be allowed to return to work with no record of the test kept. A worker who returns a positive result for alcohol (above 0.00mg/ml) will be deemed not fit work and will not be permitted to return to work;

  • Injury on Duty Any unit employee who suffers an injury while working during the course of his/her employment for the County shall be entitled to injury leave until said employee is able to return to work or is terminated in any manner and subject to any limitations imposed by this Article or State Law. Injury means a sudden and tangible happening of a traumatic nature, producing an immediate or prompt result and resulting from external force, including injuries to artificial members. Any injury sustained by an employee while engaging in an athletic or social event sponsored by the employer shall be deemed not to have arisen out of or in the course of employment unless the employee received remuneration for participating in such event. For purposes of this Article, coronary thrombosis, coronary occlusion, or any other ailment or disorder of the heart, and any death or disability ensuing therefrom, shall not be deemed to be an injury by accident sustained arising out of and in the course of the employment except for Sheriff employees who are covered by state statutes.

  • Insubordination 5. Bringing intoxicants or illegal drugs into or consuming intoxicants or illegal drugs on any school property or reporting to work under the influence of intoxicants or illegal drugs of any kind in any degree whatsoever;

  • DRUGS & ALCOHOL Any incidents concerning drugs and/or alcohol shall be dealt with in accordance with the policy of the Building Industry Group Drug and Alcohol Safety and Rehabilitation Program as detailed in Appendix D of this Agreement.

  • Off-Duty Conduct The off-duty activities of an employee may be grounds for disciplinary action if said activities are a conflict of interest as set forth in RCW 42.52, are detrimental to the employee’s work performance or the program of the Employer, or otherwise constitutes just cause. Employees will report all arrests and any court-imposed sanctions or conditions that affect their ability to perform assigned duties to the Employer within twenty-four (24) hours or prior to their scheduled work shift, whichever occurs first.

  • Injured on Duty 15.1 An employee prevented from completing a shift due to a bona fide injury sustained while on duty will be paid for his/her full shift at straight time rates of pay, unless employee receives Workers' Compensation Benefits for the day of the injury in which case the employee will be paid the difference between such compensation and payment for the full shift.

  • Civic Duty Whenever an employee is served with a subpoena by a court of competent jurisdiction which compels his/her presence as a witness during his/her normal working period, unless he/she is a party to the litigation or an expert witness, such employee shall be granted time off with pay in the amount of the difference between the employee's regular earnings and any amount he/she receives for such appearance. This Article is not applicable to appearances for which the employee receives compensation in excess of his/her regular earnings. A court of competent jurisdiction is defined as a court within the County in which the employee resides or if outside the county of residence, the place of appearance must be within 150 miles of the employee's residence.

  • Absenteeism No employee may absent himself from his work during the hours in which the establishment is open without the express permission of his employer except on account of illness and/or injuries or for causes beyond the control of such employee. An employee shall, within 24 hours of his failure to report for work, cause his employer to be notified thereof in the most expeditious manner available.

  • Alcohol & Drugs I understand that the possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages or illegal substances is prohibited at all game locations and Activities hosted by the Club. I understand that by not following the rules of the game, or by playing while intoxicated, or if there is any suspicion of intoxication, I will not be allowed to play and will not receive a refund.

  • Alcohol Use Alcohol use is the consumption of any beverage, mixture or preparation including any medication containing alcohol.
