Program Goals. The Blight Elimination Program (BE) primary purpose and goal is to focus efforts on decreasing foreclosures and stabilizing neighborhoods through the demolition and greening of vacant and abandoned single family and multi family structures in designated areas across Michigan. MHA will work with program Partners to identify meaningful indicators that will enable them to track and quantify the Blight Elimination Program’s impact in the designated communities.
