Common use of Progress Payments; Retainage Clause in Contracts

Progress Payments; Retainage. Owner shall make monthly progress payments on account of the Contract Price on the basis of Contractor's Applications for Payment, no more often than monthly during construction as provided below. Each Application for Payment shall be based on the schedule of values established in paragraph 2.7 of the General Conditions (and in the case of Unit Price Work based on the number of units properly completed) or, in the event there is no schedule of values, as provided in the General Conditions. Such Application for Payment shall be supported by such data substantiating Contractor's right to payment as Owner may require, such as copies of requisitions from subcontractors and material suppliers.
