Common use of Progress Through the Ranks Clause in Contracts

Progress Through the Ranks. On May 1, 2015, May 1, 2016, May 1, 2017 and May 1, 2018, each Member’s salary will increase by one Step within his/her rank on the Salary Scale (known as Progress Through the Ranks, or PTR) unless the maximum compensation within rank, including the junior increment, has been reached. On returning from a leave of absence identified by the Employment Standards Act, the Member will return to the step on the salary scale that he/she would have been at had he/she not taken the leave.
