Common use of Promotion Salary Range Clause in Contracts

Promotion Salary Range. Any person who is acting out of classification shall be paid at the next step in their classification that pays at least a five percent (5%) increase in salary, or the first step of the higher class title position if they are already in the top step of their current classification. Any person who receives or earns a promotion to a job in a higher class title position shall start at the first step of the new salary range.
